Creating Dynamic Thinkers
My goal in working with families is to address the crisis faced when they are confronted with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. Through play-based observations, and collaboration with the family, I am able to provide specific feedback, and help implement strategies and supports individualized to the child and their family, to help the child reach their goals and develop confidence while working towards new skills. My approach is to assess each child's strengths and challenges through a developmental lens, and focuses on teaching parents how to guide their child to success in reciprocal relationships, while addressing the key core issues of Autism (such as motivation, communication, emotional regulation, episodic memory, rapid attention-shifting, self awareness, appraisal, executive functioning, flexible thinking and creative problem solving). My goal in working with families and their children is not to attempt to mask behaviours, or provide scripts for the child, but rather the the focus to helping the child create dynamic thinking pathways. This will equip the child with the skills they need to navigate life's challenges, increase their independence in daily functioning, thereby reducing overall family stress and opening the door for a much greater quality of life.

Your child, and family's unique plan
In our sessions, we will create and implement strategies to support your child at home, school and in the community.
You are your child's guide
My goal is to empower families with the skills needed to help guide their child through challenges that lay ahead, and support them on this journey through individual consultation, IEP meeting support, school observations and more.
