What is Relationship Development Intervention?
Creating Dynamic Thinkers
Relationship Development Intervention (RDI® Therapy) is a research-based treatment program for individuals and families facing Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other developmental challenges. RDI® Consultants address the crisis families face when they are confronted with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis, or other developmental challenges. RDI® Consultants create programs individualized to the child, that offer a developmental approach, teaching parents how to guide their child to succeed in reciprocal relationships, while addressing key core issues of Autism and other developmental disorders (such as motivation, communication, emotional regulation, episodic memory, rapid attention-shifting, self awareness, appraisal, executive functioning, flexible thinking and creative problem solving). Unlike other Autism treatment programs, RDI® therapy does not attempt to mask behaviours, or provide scripts for the child, but rather focuses on dynamic thinking, which will equip the child with the skills they need to navigate life's challenges, thereby opening the door for a much greater quality of life!
